Chiropractic London ON Brenda Meet The Team

Massage Therapist

Brenda R.M.T.

With over 35 years of experience working directly with the public—and more than 20 years as a regulated healthcare professional—I’ve built a career grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a commitment to quality care. I hold two regulated certifications in the Province of Ontario and have operated practices across multiple cities, one province, and one territory, gaining a wide-ranging perspective on client care and community health.

Clinically, I continue to expand my knowledge through ongoing training in diverse massage therapy techniques. My treatment philosophy is simple but powerful: work with the body, not against it. I’ve left behind the outdated “no pain, no gain” approach, instead trusting the body’s innate ability to heal in a calm, tension-free, and safe environment. Each treatment is fully customized based on what your body is telling us on that particular day—using every tool and technique available to meet your needs. There is no extra charge for add-ons, different modalities or tools — just thoughtful, evidence-based care.

In addition to clinical practice, I’ve contributed to the profession through writing and education. I published an article in a national trade magazine on the use of massage therapy in dementia care, and a “lunch and learn” presentation I developed for home support workers—focused on ethics, transference, and countertransference—was adopted as part of the community college curriculum for home care certification.

I currently serve as an Assessment Advisor with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), where I evaluate assignments and conduct interviews to assess whether RMTs are meeting their obligations under College standards and Ontario legislation. My regulatory experience also includes three years on CMTO’s Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee, where I worked alongside a third-party investigation team. That role sparked a deeper interest in regulatory oversight, leading me to complete the Investigator and Inspector Training: Canadian Content for Regulated Colleges program.

Fun facts? I can uncork a wine bottle with a shoelace. I've camped in the Arctic Circle and under the Southern Cross. I've experienced +47C and -47C and I like them both equally, in short durations. As a Hydrotherapist, I've been cold plunging since way before influencers made it trendy.
